Turn On, Tune In, and Drop Dough: WORT Fall Pledge Drive

Thursday, 10 October 2013 |

peoplepoweredradioWORT’s Fall 2013 Pledge Drive starts on Sunday, October 13 and runs through the overnight programs on Saturday, October 26 (ending when Feed Me Weird Things ends at 6 A.M. on Sunday).

The theme is “People-Powered Radio” with the sub-theme “Turn On, Tune In, Drop Dough.” WORT is truly a volunteer powered and listener sponsored, but the reality is we need to increase the percentage of listeners who contribute, as that percentage runs at around 10% (the public media industry standard). In that sense we’re hearkening back to the theme of the Fall 2010 pledge drive, “Push It To 11,” which did succeed in inducing many first time pledges.

For this pledge drive, we’ll be offering zippered hoodies and reusable tote bags with a design by local artist/WORTista extraordinaire Robin Good. We still have plenty of the popular “Can’t Live Without My WORT” t-shirts, “Sounds of Change” WORT stocking caps, recyclable travel mugs, and the popular WORT jeep caps. Other WORT-specific items available in abundance are pint glasses, flying discs, t-shirts and other fine art prints will also be available as well as such premiums as books, DVDs, CDs, concert tickets, and gift certificates from local businesses. Find these premiums HERE!

As always, we encourage you to select the Browse Shelf as we are constantly expand and update the wide selection of CDs, books, and DVDs. Come pay us a visit at the station and browse to your heart’s content!
