On November 8, Typhoon Haiyan made landfall in the Philippines, bringing it with it winds up to 230 miles per hour, and a storm surge over 13 feet high. The death toll in the Philippines is expected to reach over 2,300, with millions displaced from their homes. Typhoon Haiyan comes hot on the heels of other mega storms, like Hurricanes Sandy and Katrina.
