Monday, 8 April 2013 | Kiosk Collective

Today in 1782: during the Revolutionary War, a United States militia troop attacks Christian Indians of the Delaware Nation in their villages on western Pennsylvania’s Tuscarawas River.

The Indians have declared themselves neutral in the war against the British. During the attack, the Indians stand their ground but take no defense. Assured no harm will befall them, the Indians allow themselves to be rounded up.
